Okay so here are the real sorority rankings at UT Austin IMO Upper Top Tier: Theta, Pi Phi, Kappa (aka PKT) Theta: IMO best pledge class. Very beautiful physical house and girls. With consistently high marks for physical attractiveness, sociability, and popularity, Pi Beta Phis certainly earn the envy of other sororities and the interest of fraternities. This reputation is by no means uniform, which may be due to the diversity of girls who pledge KD. Pi Phi: Their PC18 had some snap bids and it seemed like this year girls prefered Zeta and Chi O above Pi Phi. Kappa: Like Pi Phi and Theta, usually wealthy girls. They're not generally the most beautiful women on campus. Your class is beautiful but that isnt what is most important to some chapters. AZD may be pretty but is not classy. Overall Theta competes with Pi Phi and Kappa (less with Kappa in the past couple of years with their suspension for hazing and having to snap bid like twenty five girls a few years back). Tri Delt should take notes. Dumb. Its hard to generalize about a sororitys reputation nationwide; there are many differences from campus to campus. Learn for yourself. Not saying that they were more selective. Most freshmen at all three of their pref nights went PKT. Not to mention the hipster/edgy type. Girls arent really told ahead they will be a Pi phi or Theta but all who end up in PKT know they will end up in one of them. 1870s? They tend to have a strong sisterhood, and they can really develop strong bonds with particular frats. All these Panhellenic chapters have something to benefit their members and shouldn't be labeled by one person's opinion based off of numbers and observations. Among the negative sentiments about Chi Omega members is that they can be a bit isolated (maybe even exclusionary) and limit themselves to their own philanthropic and social activities over cooperation with other Greek-letter organizations. I do think they had a couple of snap bids this year. "They will always be bottom" is what everyone said about APhi 15-18 years ago when they were literally stuck in a hole that was lower than AXiD!
